As a continuation of the first international conference on operator algebras and applications in Morocco ( index.htm) which had been held in 2005, the second conference ICOAA2008 will be held in Marrakech 14-18 April 2008 with a similar structure. It would be a big pleasure for us to meet you there. ICOAA 2008 in Morocco is intended to be a comprehensive, inclusive conference covering all aspects of theoretical and applied operator algebras. We plan to include many special sessions (invited and contributed). So far, the following special sessions are tentatively planned: C$\sp*$-algebras and nonselfadjoint operator algebras, Operator theory and function spaces, Operator spaces and noncommutative $L_p$ Spaces. The target date for these submissions is 15/02/2008. The homepage will be updated as new information becomes available. Please feel free to pass this information to persons who might be interested in ICOAA2008.

Special Proceedings Volume

We are pleased to announce that the journal "Operators and Matrices"
(http://www.ele-math.com/oamboard.asp) has agreed to publish a special volume of quality papers for this conference.
All participants in the "International Conference on Operator Algebras and Applications in Morocco" are invited to submit papers.  We would like to publish papers of between 10 and 20 pages in print that emphasize high quality original research together with quality exposition.

You can submit your paper electronically by sending a pdf file and a cover letter to either:

All papers will be refereed to the usual high standards maintained by OaM.  Final acceptance of any paper will be made by the main editors of OaM.  The page limitation is due to the fact that this special volume is limited to about 200 pages in total length. Quality papers that are longer or shorter than the recommended length (10-20p) might also be considered, but if you have such a paper we would appreciate it if you would give us advance notice before you submit so we can first discuss it with the main editors of OaM.
